Business Development Executive

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across customer segments

  • Track, manage, and progress leads, RFPs, and tenders from discovery to closure

  • Own CRM updates, maintain pipeline, and basic sales reporting

  • Engage directly with customers and partners through outreach, follow-ups, and meetings

  • Prepare proposals, pitch decks, and customer-facing materials

  • Work with engineering and program teams to translate customer needs into solutions

  • Identify and apply for grants, funding programs, and strategic initiatives

  • Build relationships within the space and technology ecosystem

  • Represent HEX20 at industry events, meetings, and conferences

  • Drive visibility through outreach, industry platforms, and ecosystem engagement

  • Track market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activity

Required Skills

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Ability to independently manage leads and follow-ups

  • Basic understanding of sales cycles and business development

  • Comfortable working with CRM tools, Excel, and presentations

  • Strong research and opportunity-mapping skills

  • Ability to work with technical teams and grasp technical concepts

  • Organized, proactive, and execution-focused

  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup / scale-up environment

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to space, aerospace, deep-tech, or technology sectors

  • Experience with proposals, RFPs, or customer negotiations
