Electrical Design Engineer (Power Electronics)

Job description
Join a dynamic product development team building power boards and embedded electronics for nano and micro satellites, including converter modules, power distribution units and energy storage & conditioning circuits.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop power electronics boards, including DC-DC converters (Buck, Boost, SEPIC, LDO), load switches, current-sense circuits, and protection circuits.
Own the end-to-end hardware development cycle: schematic design, power budgeting, derating, BOM, board bring-up, testing, and troubleshooting.
Work with internal teams and suppliers to ensure reliable, space-ready power subsystem performance and smooth execution of project deliverables.
Qualifications
Strong experience in power supply design, DC-DC converters, regulation loops, thermal analysis, efficiency optimization, power loss calculations.
Analog & digital circuit design, current limiting, protection circuits, OR-ing, filtering.
Interface design: SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, RS-422/485 (as required in mixed designs).
CAD proficiency: Altium / Cadence.
Understanding of EMI/EMC, grounding strategies, filtering techniques for power systems.
Experience with power board bring-up, load testing, transient response testing, debugging.
Documentation skills: HDD, layout guidelines, test procedures, validation reports.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
4-7 years' experience in power electronics or power board design.
