Job description
HEX20 is seeking a Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) Engineer to design, develop, and validate attitude and orbital control systems for next-generation satellite missions. The role involves end-to-end ownership of GNC algorithms—from mission concept and simulation through on-orbit operations support—for micro, nano, or small satellite platforms. You will work closely with systems, avionics, propulsion, mission operations, and software teams to ensure robust, flight-ready GNC solutions that meet mission performance, reliability, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop guidance, navigation, and control algorithms for satellite attitude and orbit control.
Model spacecraft dynamics, disturbances, and environments; build high-fidelity simulations for verification and validation.
Design and tune control laws for reaction wheels, magnetorquers, and/or thrusters, including safe-mode operation.
Collaborate with systems, avionics such as IMUs, magneto torquers, reaction wheels, etc..., and mission operations teams through design reviews, launch, and on-orbit operations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or master's degree in aerospace engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
Strong fundamentals in rigid body dynamics, orbital mechanics, control theory, and state estimation.
Hands-on experience with satellite GNC systems (academic, industry, or flight).
Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink for modelling, simulation, and control design.
Experience with LEO satellite missions is highly desirable.
